Meet Sterling<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I am Sterling Jefferson Engle, a twice-exceptional, first-generation son of a Taiwanese immigrant and a lifelong resident of District 5 born on the 4th of July. My roots in Fremont run deep, having attended our local public schools and universities from Weibel Elementary, Hopkins Middle School, and MSJHS through UC Berkeley, where I majored in Asian Studies: China Focus and later earned an MS in Computer Science from UCLA in 2022. In 2019, I interned for our D-CA 17th District Congressman Ro Khanna.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m passionate about enhancing the quality of life in Fremont. I am eager to work alongside our next Mayor and City Council to address the issues that matter most to our community. My background in entrepreneurship and engineering equips me with a unique perspective and a proactive approach to solving problems.<\/p>\n
